A Steampunk Jewelry Butterfly

These Steampunk Necklaces are amongst the most popular items in my shop. This delicate creature is fashioned from a Vintage Watch Movement set upon the back of a Victorian Styled Butterfly and set with a range of bejeweled crystals of Soft Violet and Hot Pink.

The Watch Movement measures approximately 18mm x 15mm and comes with an antiqued silver finished Cable Chain.

If this Steampunk Jewelry piece is for you then head on over to my Etsy Shop London Particulars and if you find the piece has fluttered away (or has been sold), then please feel free to contact me and I will make one especially for you.

I can also create these Steampunk Butterflies using your favorite colors, so please feel free to send me a convo or message!

Steampunk Long Player

A Steampunk Turntable complete with a recording of those angry young men the Sex Pistols.

The turntable is a work of art with an exceptional design. The spinning disc features that heady hit from 1977 "God save the Queen", an excitable masterpiece with a fair infusion of vitriol against the personage known as the Queen.

Quite a strange combination of the Neo Victorian with the Seventies but perhaps the "Punk" from Steampunk was the inspiration. Another hit pop pick from the past which may have been more appropriate is Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, a rousing melody which a rather bracing climax, perfect for cleaning your goggles and revolver to.

Steampunk Googles!

Would you like your very own Steampunk Goggles?

These invaluable accessories are the height of Steampunk Fashion and make quite the Neo Victorian sartorial statement. But wait - that’s not all! These darned splendid goggles also come in handy for preventing bluebottles and other flying beasties from colliding with your orbs when you are out, gadding about and traversing the skies.

If you have not seen the above moving picture which shows you exactly how to craft your very own goggles then hot-foot it over there now.
No Steampunk should be without goggles!

Steampunk Duel

I thought I would post this excellent animation for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

The film is called "A Gentlemen's Duel" and has quite a few Steampunk elements.

I'm always in favour of settling differences with a good old fashioned duel. The last one I went to involved a fleet of feral pigeons and a modified weasel. You can imagine the horror...

What the Dickens?

This could be interesting, a Christmas Carol with Steampunk Art and Neo Victorian leanings. This Ipad app is made by the same people who created the recent Halloween "Dracula: The Official Stoker Family Edition app"

Readers will not only witness Ebenezer Scrooge’s heart-warming transformation through 130 pages of lovingly abridged text, but for the first time they will become part of the story through revolutionary interaction. Turn the key in Scrooge’s door and watch as the door knocker changes into the deceased Jacob Marley, or try your hand at cleaning pages of the grime of industrial-era London.

Steampunk Ring or work of art?

A Steampunk Ring or work of art? You decide (but if it’s not a work of art please don’t comment…).

I have been busy tucked away in my lair creating all manner of new pieces, amongst which a new piece from my  Quintessential (no hyperbole here!) Steampunk Rings.

The piece is fashioned with Deep Siam Red Swarovski Crystals and measures 19mm by 13mm! If you have giant fingers or withered digits then let me know – I cater for everybody (barring gadabouts and wastrels).

To see more, take a moment to set down your Airship or balloon outside my emporium; London Particulars.

Ninja, Cowboys with a touch of Steampunk...

This looks like a really cool and unusual film!

There are several interesting elements, the fusion of oriental Warrior meeting a dastardly looking posse of cowboys, with a hint of Steampunk.
Of course, it might be utter balderdash and tommyrot, but the trailer looks promising (if you like the idea of ninjas versus cowboys)...

Steampunk Music with a Blackbird Orchestra

What is Steampunk music? The Sepiachord Passport – steampunk music review

"Steampunk as a musical genre has as many variations as it does in film and literary styles. Vaudeville, cabaret, waltz are common as well as brass and acoustic instruments – but this is hardly a definition of the style. Often the lyrics take on a macabre, darkly humorous or grim storyline – to the swell of an accordion or waltz tempo."

A new article on Overbury Ink concerning a rather spiffing sounding Steampunk Musical compilation including a track by the wonderfully named "Blackbird Orchestra"!

A Personal Essay on Cultural Identity and Steampunk

http://www.tor.com/blogs/2010/10/ao-dai-and-i-steampunk-essay

Time is treated by steampunks with a Doctor Whovian “wibbly-wobbly” sensibility: the future lies in the past and exists in the present. Steampunk clothes represent how our imagined histories are based on real history, and whatever steampunk fantasy we construct for ourselves can have a basis in who we are and where we fit in the world.

A fresh perspective on Steampunk culture!

Spinning Steampunk Jewelry Ring

Are what is this gleaming and silvery wonder I spy? It appears to be a Steampunk Jewelry Ring but what the deuce??? Surely not??? Ah but yes - it spins! Never in my wildest dreams could I conceive of a piece of Jewelry which not only looks like a vision of wonder but also functions as a spinning device! Surely its the devils handiwork, or perhaps the designs of London Particulars...

Steampunk USB Tower

There are a number of wonderful Steampunk USB gadgets available through sites like Etsy and eBay. It seems like these devices are proliferating and Neo Victorian gadgetry is blossoming into its very own sub-niche.

I love the USB "Tower" in this video; I could keep all of my Steampunk Jewelry imagery on this device, as well as the blueprints for my infernal device and world domination...
